happy mail day: olivia

el miércoles no llevaba yo un buen día. de esas veces que parece que todo te sale del revés. sin embargo, cuando llegué a casa del trabajo, me llevé una grata sorpresa: mi pedido de oliviasoaps, que había hecho la tarde anterior, ya estaba en casa!

last wednesday i wasn't having a good day, everything seemed to go wrong. however, when i came home from work, i was pleasantly surprised: my order from oliviasoaps, that i made just the night before, had arrived!

un paquete lleno de bonitismos, aromas y buen rollo!

además de lo que había pedido, en el paquete había regalitos, que siempre hace mucha ilusión recibir (unas muestras de jabón y un bálsamo john lemon)

besides what i had ordered, the package contained some freebies, which is always thrilling to discover (some soap samples and a lip balm alled john lemon)   jabones y velas que no sólo huelen genial, es que son una preciosidad

soaps and candles that not only smell great, but are also a beauty unas "delicatessen", porque de vez en cuando hay que darse un capricho

some "delicatessen", because sometimes you just have to indulge yourself   y así fue como olivia me arregló el día. porque a veces las cosas bonitas tienen ese superpoder.

and that's the story of how olivia made my day. because some times beautiful things just have that superpower.

mini-makeover: alegrando la habitación de diego

llevaba tiempo detrás de alegrar un poco el armario empotrado de la habitación de diego, que es enorme y de un soso que pa qué. por fin estas rebajas me decidí a comprar unas pegatinas decorativas que me parecieron muy bonitas. y éste es el "before and after" (aunque en el before ya se ve la cinta washi tape que utilicé debajo de los vinilos; se me olvidó hacerle fotos antes de ponerla):

i was willing to spruce up a bit the closet in diego's room for a while. finally i decided to buy some decorative stickers that were on sale, and this is the "before and after" (though in the before photo you can see the washi tape i used with the stickers, i forgot to take some photos before that):

y como me sobraron unas pegatinas, decidí darle vidilla a los otros muebles de la habitación, un armario infantil y una cómoda:

and since some stickers were left, i decided to put them on the rest of the furniture of the room, a little closet and a chest of drawers:

pd: en realidad los naranjas no son tan fluorescentes, no sé por qué se ven así, debe de ser que al tratar de iluminar un poco las fotos con photoshop han variado los colores. esa es otra de las metas que pretendo conseguir con este blog, hacer mejores fotos y aprender algo de photoshop, que me da una pereza...

ps: the orange color is not so bright in person, i don't know why the photos turned out like this, maybe trying to lighten them up with photoshop made the color look different. that's another goal i aim to achieve with this blog, to take better photographs and to learn some photoshop, wich i find so boring...
