"cada día más intrépido. no se aprecia mucho pero en la nariz y debajo de ella lleva unas heridas, que se hizo cuando se cayó cogiendo piedras (cómo no) subido a un escalón. lleva una temporada de saltimbanqui que a mi me tiene desconcertada. sé que dicen que todos los niños son así, pero ni su padre ni yo lo hemos sido, así que no sé de dónde le viene esa afición por subirse a cualquier parte y hacer equilibrios!"

la primera de estas fotos me cautivó la semana pasada.

"he's more intrepid each day. it's hard to see in this photo, but there are some little wounds in his nose and above his mouth, that he got when he fell to the floor while trying to reach some stones (of course, his favourite game) standing on a step. he's been quite an acrobat lately and this disconcerts me. i know they say that all the kids are the same this age, but neither his father nor me were this way, so i don't know where did he get this love for climbing from!"

"yo creía que le iban a dar miedo, y resulta que le han encantado las procesiones. toda la semana deseando verlas, tocando el tambor y andando como "los armaos" (el tercio romano). se lo ha pasado bomba!".

"feliz jugando en el patio de la abuela"

por fin ha llegado el buen tiempo, y puede estar todo el día en la calle y en el patio! el pobre lleva todo el invierno señalando la puerta del patio de los abuelos y diciendo "abre!", y mirando por el cristal con carita de pena... ahora ya está abierta, y creo que nos esperan muchas horas de patio hasta que el frío nos haga cerrar la puerta otra vez.

fotos que me encantaron de la semana pasada, con un denominador común, los árboles: eva en un camino entre un bosque; bijou y remy entre una naturaleza impresionante; y wendie en un jardín japonés.

looks like good weather is here to stay, at last, and he can spend his days out in the street and in the patio! he spent the whole winter trying to open the patio door in his grandparents house every time he saw it, sadly looking through the window, eager to get to play there... and now it's finally open, and i'm sure there will be lots of hours of playing in the patio, until the cold weather makes us close the door again.

some photos i loved last week, with something in common, the trees: eva in a road through a forest; bijou and remy surrounded by stunning nature; and wendie in the japanese gardens.

ay, las piedras. lo más chulo del mundo para él ahora mismo, casi superando a ver una grúa, porque las grúas son chulas, sí, pero es que las piedras se pueden coger, y tirar...
a este paso, mi colección de fotos del proyecto 52 semanas de 2014 va a llevar el subtítulo de "the stones series" ;)

stones are pretty much the coolest thing for him at the moment. because truck cranes are also cool, yeah, but you know, stones can be grabbed, and throwed... the coolest, i tell you.

"en el tractor de su abuelo Pepe. le fascinan los medios de transporte, últimamente sobre todo los trenes (él dice "ten") y los tractores ("toh"). ah, y los camiones con grúa ("gúa"), es ver una y ya no nos podemos mover de allí".

estas fotos de claire no podrían ser más bonitas, sobre todo la de eulalie vestida para ir a su primera clase de ballet... es tan bella que quita el aliento. y esta foto tan bonita me ha recordado a Diego, que también se pasa el día jugando con su tren y diciendo "chu-chu".

these pictures couldn't be more beautiful, specially the one of eulalie dressed for her first ballet class... breathtaking. and this beautiful photo reminded me of Diego, who also loves to play with his train and says "choo-choo".

me encanta esta foto por la calidez e intimidad que transmite; las fotos de steph siempre son preciosas, y las de la semana pasada no son una excepción; tres niños preciosos y tres retratos perfectos.

"la pobre lola ya no vive tranquila, a diego le encanta estar con ella, tocarla, darle besos, meterle el dedo en la oreja y darle algún que otro manotazo. ella odia que la toquen, a no ser que sea yo y según en qué momento. a diego le aguanta muchísimo, es cierto que los animales tienen mucha paciencia con los niños, porque si miguel o yo le hiciéramos todo eso, habría derramamiento de sangre. por otro lado, no es que diego vaya vestido horroroso, es que es un disfraz de pirata ;)".

las niñas y sus peinados... me temo que con diego no podré disfrutar de ese aspecto de la maternidad :( . os dejo con cinco fotos de la semana pasada que me enamoraron, todas con ese tema en común: el moño de bailarina de wendie; el turbante de logan; la trenza de eleanor; y lucy y anaïs, despeinándose, cada una en su estilo (no os perdáis el pelo de anaïs, es divertidísmo!).


"poor lola's life is not peaceful anymore, since diego loves to be with her, touch her, kiss her, put his finger in her ears, slap her every now and then... she hates to be touched, except by me and depending on the moment. but she tolerates diego so much! it's true that animals are very patient with children; if miguel or even i did all those things to her, there would be blood. and, unrelated to lola, diego is dressed up as a pirate, it's not that i have a horrible taste to pick his clothes ;)".

little girls and hairdos... i'm afraid i won't enjoy that part of maternity with diego :( . here are the links to five photos that stole my heart last week, all of them with that theme in commmon: wendie's ballerina bun; logan's bun and accessory; eleanor's braid; and lucy and anaïs with messy hair, each one in her own style (don't miss little anaïs' sleeping hair, so funny!).

"me encanta mirarlo mientras duerme, tan tranquilo, tan feliz"

de la semana pasada me inspiran estos retratos no convencionales, estos no-retratos, que transmiten mucho de la esencia de los retratados, aunque no veamos su cara: este pequeño que no para; amor por la danza y una gran fuerza en un cuerpo muy chiquitito; la personalidad reflejada en el vestir y la dulzura emanada incluso al dormir.

last week i felt inspired by some unportraits, that show a lot of the subjects' essence, although their face is not shown: this little guy who never wants to sit still; a love for dancing and a big strength in a tiny body; personality reflected in clothing and sweetness all over, even when sleeping.

"enseñándome orgulloso lo que le han traído los reyes"

este año ha sido el primero en el que se ha medio enterado de los regalos de los reyes magos... aún no sabe muy bien qué pasa, pero se lo pasó genial abriendo paquetes y jugando con juguetes nuevos todo el día!

de la semana pasada me encantan las fotos de little bubalishka (lola y sadie con plumas de indias), little beds (matilda con una corona de cartón que quiero para mí), y little red wagon (aspen realmente parece una princesa con su tiara). veis la conexión? ;) ahora mismo me encantaría ponerme algo en la cabeza y jugar como ellas...

this has been the first year that he was (partly) aware of the three wise men thing (here in spain it's them who bring presents to children, like santa claus in other parts of the world)... he still doesn't really understand anything, but he had a great time opening presents and playing with his new toys the whole day!

from last week's photos, i love the ones by little bubalishka (lola and sadie with native american feathers), little beds (matilda with a cardboard crown that i'd want for myself), and little red wagon (aspen really looks like a princess in her tiara). see the connexion? ;) right now i would love to wear a prop in my head and just play like they do...
